Role Overview
As a Senior Relationship Manager – Private Markets Institutional Sales, you will play a key role in driving business growth by building and expanding relationships with institutional investors and family offices. Your primary responsibility will be promoting and placing alternative investment products, including private equity, private credit, venture capital, and real estate funds.
In this strategic position, you will leverage your deep expertise in investment banking and alternative assets to connect investors with exclusive opportunities. Your established network will be instrumental in enhancing the firm’s fundraising efforts while collaborating with internal teams to deliver customized investment solutions tailored to institutional clients across the GCC region.

Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Cultivate and manage relationships with institutional investors and family offices.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the institutional client base.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding investor needs and aligning them with suitable alternative investment funds.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and investment activities within the company’s CRM system.
Investor Identification and Engagement
- Identify UHNWIs, family offices, and institutional investors for private market opportunities.
- Conduct targeted outreach to build strong relationships with key client segments in the GCC region.
- Arrange and participate in client meetings to present investment opportunities and placement strategies.
Presentation & Promotion
- Deliver clear and impactful presentations on alternative investments and feeder funds.
- Utilize marketing materials to support sales efforts and engage clients effectively.
- Clearly communicate product features, benefits, and potential performance without providing financial advice.
- Represent the firm at investor events, roadshows, and industry conferences to expand brand visibility.
Deal Execution & Closing
- Guide investors through the onboarding process, ensuring seamless transitions from initial interest to commitment.
- Work with internal teams to coordinate documentation, agreements, and transaction finalization.
- Monitor client commitments to align with fundraising and placement targets.
Market & Product Knowledge
- Stay informed about private market trends and alternative investment strategies, including private equity, private credit, venture capital, and real estate funds.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of investment preferences within the GCC, competitive market offerings, and regulatory developments.
- Work alongside internal teams to enhance and expand the firm’s investment product suite.
- Provide investors with insights, including proprietary research and analysis.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure full adherence to DFSA regulations, including Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory frameworks.
- Provide regular reports on fundraising activities, investor feedback, and key performance indicators.
Collaboration & Team Support
- Report to senior management on client engagement, pipeline development, and market trends.
- Leverage data insights from the investment platform to refine client outreach strategies.
- Work closely with marketing teams to develop targeted materials and campaigns.
- Mentor and support junior relationship managers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing relationships with High Net Worth Individuals and family offices.
- 8+ years of experience in institutional sales, investment banking, or wealth management with a focus on alternative investments.
- Established network of clients in the Middle East is essential.
- Strong knowledge of private equity, private credit, venture capital, and hedge funds.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
